Exploring Great Photos

Today I would like you to go on Flickr and explore photos. Explain what you like about 3. Not the content (yeah, that flower is beautiful) but what did the photographer do to make that photo amazing?

Example

Below this post you should post a comment where you provide a link to the photos you choose and then EXPLAIN what you like about the photo – what did the photographer have to do or think about in order to make that photo so great?

Now go take at least 3 of your own. Even if yours didn’t turn out as amazing, what were you thinking/doing to try and make yours great? (Keep in mind that a lot of your photos are not going to turn out to be as beautiful as you’d like, so TAKE EXTRAS!)

There is just something I can’t explain when I see photos of the original World Trade Center, the closest word I can find is “jealously”. This photo simply breathes history, the colors are grainy yet classic, something that I’d consider the best part of this photo if it wasn’t for the tower itself, this view is just superb, the photographer did a great job by doing this as it shows the colors nicely and it makes the tower seem bigger than what other photos show.

I like the black and white in this picture but I look at this lady and I really want to give her food.

And even though he’s hungry himself he feeds his little friends first. I think the photographer did a excellent job by putting this in black and white.

Italy is one of the highest destinations of tourists and people don’t usually take their time to go on a adventure and take pictures like this. The photographer broke the saying: ”you shouldn’t shoot directly into the Italian sun”, but by still doing it he showed us a majestic place.

This photo is cool because of a few things, the angle, which makes the tiger seem powerful yet beautiful, the colors also fit really nicely since the photographer made the eyes a major part of this photo.

The photographer did a great job capturing the lamb, he made the background blurry so your eyes immediately locks on the lamb’s head, and it also makes it a bit 3Dish. This photo would of sucked if the photographer didn’t capture the lamb’s head in the center since it blends in nicely and looks cool while doing so.
